Hummus Trio
With the Fourth of July holiday right around the corner,
you’ll be the fire cracker of the party with these quick and easy recipes. – Chef Haberle
Traditional Hummus Ingredients
15 oz. Garbanzo Beans
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup sesame oil
¼ cup lemon juice
1 TBSP minced garlic
Pinch of cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure
Combine above and puree until smooth in food processor. Put hummus in a bowl, then refrigerate until serving. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil before serving.
Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus Ingredients
15 oz. Garbanzo Beans
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
1 ¼ cup chopped cilantro (loose packed)
2 TBSP chopped jalapeños
¼ cup fresh lime juice (2 limes)
Pinch of cumin
1/2 tsp minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure
Combine above and puree until smooth in food processor. Put hummus in a bowl, and refrigerate until serving.
Roasted Red Pepper and Curry Hummus Ingredients
15 oz. Garbanzo Beans
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup lemon juice
½ TBSP minced garlic
3 TBSP red curry paste
1 tsp curry powder
1 cup diced roasted red pepper
Procedure
Combine above and puree until smooth in food processor. Put hummus in a bowl, and refrigerate until serving.
Serve hummus trio with crackers, fresh vegetables, pita or tortilla chips.
