Vicky shares Turkey Salsa Burgers – new entree entry!

When making a lifestyle change in order to get healthy, I was on the prowl for something simple, delicious and good for you that would combine the necessary essential foods my body required. I was worried that whatever I would come up with would lack in flavor, but this (EASY) recipe was anything but bland.


1 lb. ground turkey (the leanest you can find)
1 cup salsa (I like mine to be hot, but mild and medium work just as well)
4 oz. shredded SMOKED cheddar cheese


  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Divide into six equal parts. Then grill/pan fry until fully cooked.
  • I prefer to eat these without a bun to avoid unwanted calories/carbs, but for burger lovers, BUN UP!
  • Each burger will come to about 167 calories (without the bun), with 10 grams of fat and a whopping 35 grams of protein!
